King County Health Reform Initiative Strategic Planning

King County Health Reform Initiative: Clegg & Associates has been working with the Health Advisory Task Force of King County on several projects and we are presently continuing work with HRI. Much of our work appears online on the King County website. 

Since 2004, Clegg & Associates has provided expert facilitation and consultation services to King County during its development of an integrated array of health improvement and cost containment initiatives. The Health Reform Initiative addresses three key challenges facing the county:

• The potential for increased health risks and associated costs due to the aging of its workforce
• The need for employee education and worksite support for health improvement activities
• The lack of information regarding the quality and cost effectiveness of the region’s health care system.

As the facilitator for the initiative’s strategic planning committee, measurement and evaluation committee, and independent peer review panel, Judith Clegg has guided the initiative from its formative stages to its current status as one of the leading employer-led health improvement efforts in the country.
